Yes, we stand behind our work with a guarantee.
The length of the guarantee depends on the type of project. While we fully guarantee our craftsmanship, please note that the guarantee does not cover events beyond our control, such as fires, flooding, natural disasters, or other unforeseen external factors.
What’s your cleaning/restoration process?
Our cleaning process begins by applying a specialized masonry cleaning solution to the brick steps and surrounding border areas. The solution is allowed to soak in as needed to loosen algae, mildew, and other surface buildup without damaging the brick. Once the solution has had time to work, we use a gentle soft wash rinse to safely clean the surface. This method avoids the harsh pressure that can damage masonry while still delivering effective results. On average, we’re able to remove about 80–85% of algae and grime, significantly improving the appearance and overall cleanliness of the area.
What is your payment process for masonry projects?
Once the estimate is accepted, a 50% deposit is required to schedule and start the project. The remaining 50% is due upon completion, when the project is finished.
Signs that indicate masonry repair is needed.
Masonry repair may be needed if you notice signs like large or stair-step cracks, crumbling or missing mortar, or flaking bricks (spalling). Bulging walls, white chalky residue (efflorescence), and moisture inside walls suggest structural or water issues. Loose or leaning bricks—especially in chimneys or mailboxes—can signal serious problems. Other red flags include damaged retaining walls and plant or insect growth in cracks, all of which point to moisture and potential long-term damage. Early detection helps prevent more severe issues.
How do masonry and concrete differ?
Masonry and concrete differ in both composition and application. Masonry involves building structures from individual units like bricks, stones, or concrete blocks, which are held together with mortar. In contrast, concrete is a mixture of cement, water, and aggregates (like sand and gravel) that is poured into forms and hardens into a solid mass. While masonry is typically used for walls and facades, concrete is more versatile and often used for foundations, slabs, and structural components.
How long does a project take?
The timeline for a masonry project depends on its size and complexity. Smaller jobs—such as minor repairs, brick mailboxes, flower bed borders, or basic concrete work—can often be completed in a single day. Larger or more intricate projects, like extended flower bed borders, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, or walkways, typically require more time and may take anywhere from 2–3 days to a full week. Ultimately, the duration will vary based on the specific scope and design of the project.

What are common retaining wall issues and fixes?
Retaining walls often face issues due to poor construction or environmental stress. Common problems include leaning or bowing from poor drainage or lack of reinforcement, which may require anchors or full reconstruction. Cracks can result from ground movement—minor ones may be sealed, but deeper ones often need rebuilding. Poor drainage causes pressure buildup, fixed with drainpipes, weep holes, and proper backfill. Erosion, bulging blocks, mortar decay, and settling from weak foundations also threaten stability and typically require regrading, reinforcement, repointing, or rebuilding on a solid base. Proper drainage and support are key to long-term durability.
